I don't think those every came with 401s; 360 was the top engine so right away I doubt his "all original" claim.  Not one of AMC's better offerings.  Unfortunately they were running out of cash by then and had to cobble together vehicles with whatever they had in the parts bins guys at GM and they missed the boat when it came to the "bad taste" test.
