Run over to Piston Ring or NAPA and buy the Chevy orange in Plastikote or Duplicolor.

Sorry, I'll try to be faster next time.

Vern, are you doing a full on correct canadian 6 cyl repaint.  If so there are a few things to keep in mind that are unique to the canadian cars in general.

Ex.
Canadian cars have the oil cap painted orange too

The canadian cars use an Aluminuim coil.  with natural aluminum finish.

Valve cover decal is "econoflame"  i think i have one?????

I'm sure there is more.  See Pics of my correctly restored 64 194

You can't fool us Dave. A "correctly restored" 194 does not use a Motomaster oil filter!!!

Not quite sure how correct it will be when done. It has electronic ignition right now and I am not sure if I will change it . Probably not ever going to pull the motor . We got the car cheap and I don't want to put a bunch of money into it . As we all know 4ds are not worth a whole bunch no matter how well you restore them

CTC filters are now "warranty approved" devilish.gif   Does anyone make OE tower clamps, that are not sh-t?  I bought a set, big $$ and they all folded over sideways.. I took them all off, and threw them away.. I hate paying big money for crap  frustrated.gif

I think that the motor is also a 250 6 cyl. the oild dipstick tube should be beside the
distributor but these pictures are of great help.
Unless this is in a "full size" Beaumont not a Chevy II style body
It is hard to tell where the deep part of the oil pan is.
I am going to attempt to drill beside the distributer for
the correct placement of the dipstick tube. If any has a close up picture of the tube on a 194 chevy II style motor it would help allot.
Thanks.

I think I can get you a zoom shot in a couple of days maybe. Just remind me if nobody does sooner.

Funny this post popped up. We are going to start on the body work this weekend. And the budget has grown. New front fenders, trunk drop offs, rear wheel wells, mild 350 , headers, holly intake and carb, turbo 350, bucket seats, new hood and the list goes on.
