Boy it's nice to finally get recognition. Sad thing is, it will drive up the prices of our cars!

It'd be nice if a mainstream mag would link this website!

Maybe it will drive up the price, but I'm not sure about that. Very few US collectors know anything about the Canadian cars. Heck, it took Collectible Automobile 25 years to write an article about full size Canadian Pontiacs, and even then they didn't touch on the truly interesting stuff, like the 348, 409 & 427 Parisiennes, the SD 396 Beaumonts, the L79 Acadians, etc. Chances are they don't know anything about them.

I really believe you will see these cars climb in value once the market recovers. Remember, we have a worldwide audience on here. It is my hope that sometime in the future we'll be able to hold the "Canadian Poncho Nationals". Can you imagine a few hundred Canadian Pontiac, Acadian and Beaumonts all in one location? We'd bring in "Hemmings Muscle Machines" and "Musclecar Review" for a photo shoot. Then, before you know it, Ertle releases it's "Canadian Muscle" collection of die cast models..
Call me a dreamer....

Let's hope. Not impossible for sure - especially for the SD Beaumonts & performance Acadians, maybe even the 427 full sized cars. I do know that my 69 Parisienne was advertised in Hemmings for a year and a half, and no one seemed to want it.

But ... there was a famous mid 60s Canadian Ford Falcon drag car that's been restored, written up in enthusiast mags and of which a plastic model has been released. So who knows what will appeal?

That would be Rankin Ford's "Wild Child". I remember Rankin Ford when I was a kid. My dad would fill up his 69 Pontiac at Rankin Texaco across the street. My dad would say "5 dollars please" and he'd have enough gas for a week!

I talked to the man in person as he was autographing the car, had no clue as to a Beaumont, but, he likes it. I told him take two A bodies chevelle with Goat int and Pontiac split grill. he put his hand on his chin, looked to the sky, "I like it, neat!",
