SCORE!

I visited a Pontiac dealership today. It is closing in two weeks. I picked up a few books and without even realizing it I acquired one of the elusive parts books that has been hiding from me for years.  46-57 Canadian Pontiac is finally in my collection!

Today was a good day!

Wow, it amazes me the things you can find in an old dealer. You must have been walking on air.

I had a great time. I only knew the parts manager on a casual basis till now. I knew the previous manager (who retired about 4-5 years ago) much better.

I called the current parts manager about 6 weeks ago when I heard they were closing and asked him about books. He said he was not sure what to say. I called back yesterday as a follow up and he said to come over. I took him out and bought him lunch thinking I would encourage him as here is a guy in a small town (not many job options) who will be looking for work in 2 weeks and had no idea 3 months ago he'd be out of work. He's about 50 I think.

Anyway, took him out for lunch to encourage him that God has a plan for him even though he may not know it. I think I came away more encouraged than he did!!! It's so much fun to meet a guy with such a positive, optimistic God-is-in-control attitude.

Oh, and the highlight was when I came home and realized I had filled a hard to fill spot in my parts book collection! And as a bonus I missed 3 hours of a busy work day at our dealership!

That's good stuff. You were the right guy to come along in more ways than one.

It seemed so funny to me that I went to try to be a blessing to someone and instead came away blessed!

God works in mysterious ways.....

Good to hear the Good News!

Times now a'days are difficult! God is always with us and small miracles are always happening around us! The end of this month when I receive my monthly interest, I will know if I have gained or lost money on my investment portafolio! I am just grateful that I took the low risk route!
