Clutch Problems gone in 6 months no warranty

1972 Pontiac Ventura II Sprint (Large).jpg        I  was scaning more pictures and found this one...1972  Ventura II was six months old, and I had added a 4 speed(from 3 speed) Quad 4bbl, recurved dist, added headers, and real CORVAIR TURBO mufflers, and this day a new set of GR60-14 RADIAL ta.s   We took it out the highway, stopped, reved her up, dumped the clutch, and nothing but smoke and burnt smell... Drove it to town (it was Sunday)   We decided to replace the clutch!! Jacked it up, and unbolted the necessary stuff, and pulled out the 307 clutch.. We called our friend at McKerlie Auto, and he got us a 350 hp clutch(raised fingers, and a thinner release bearing)  bolted it up, went out of town and run up through the gears.. We were done for supper....

My buddy of 40 years, has had a 67 Chevy II, since '69  He put 60,000 miles on the 327-275 and the original clutch....   He built a 400 sbc, for it and installed a re-built stock clutch  It was in it, until he went "auto" in 07   I had a new Centre Force clutch, but never used it  WHAT ARE YOU GUYS running for clutches???????????
