No. If you change anything from original it not original anymore. changing tags is highly illegal too. if you want a different colour, repaint go to the licence bureau and change the ownership. only legal way, but its not original. clear as mud.

changing tags will omly confuse us in the future, lol besides theres other info on your tag that pertains to just your car,you dont want to loose that, anyway whos gonna know the difference with your hood closed, paint it what you like you have to drive it.

why not just have a new tag made with all the cars original codes, and just chage the color code to the "new ones?" check hemming motor news, there are company`s that make new data tags

I agree!   Build it for you!  Tell the next guy, (if there ever is a next guy) that you changed it.. My personel thought is that, the color combo you mention is someting, you would see at that time   Pet Peeve #82 of mine is a old car painted a new color.  Like a Pontiac Strato CHief being painted a rare Honda/Toyota color twocents.gif

Just change it to what you want and do not worry about anyone's opinion. A Trim Tag paint code difference is NOT going to make a significant if any amount of price difference. The only one who will care is a Concours de Elegance judge. Do you plan on showing it in those kind of shows? Not likely so paint it your choice. That is a nice colour combo by the way!

I'm doing the same change myself for mine, changing color, and anyway, anything you do on it, it will be original once....
