Here is an E-mail I just recieved from Don Earnshaw (President of the Chevelle and Beaumont club)
Hello Fellow Members
There has been a lot of interest in Beaumont owners getting their spear for the centre part of the grille, which has been a extremely hard item to find and Buy.
Dale Bertrand of Dale's Muscle Car Parts in Bracebridge, ON has figured out a plan to get them made, but will need members that would like to purchase one will have to preorder and pay some up front..
Below is a conversation between Doug Heinrich and ,myself and Dale Bertrand. If interested in doing this, I would like a survey as to how many would participate. Email or Phone me.

   Don, I don't know if this just gets returned to you or to  all but if it's just you can you pass it on.  I was e-mailing a guy named John Farrugia a couple of  years ago who was planning on making a batch of 50 - 1967  Beaumont Grille Spears and the price would be $150 each. They are made out of the US from a company who specializes in emblem  casting. He had an emblem in pretty good condition to start  with. They scan the emblem and using computer aided design the  create a finish product that is an exact replica of the original. John gave up on this project due to lack of  interest.  I know I need one and apparently so does  Steve.  Is there any other takers out there?  Maybe we could get John back on his mission if there is 
enough interest.

The problem with the reproductions of items is always the same. COST !!!!.  Dale Bertrand of Dale's Muscle Car  Parts in Bracebridge, ON  has had some Beaumont stuff done by the people that do the name plates etc. it is good quality and the minimum's and the money that has to be put up front is expensive. I know he has stock of what he has had done, but the problems is the turnover is really slow, and he has a lot of money tied up. It is too scary to tie up a lot of money. 
Maybe we should take a survey of how many would order and pay  up front for the spears, at least it would give him a idea.

I am going to do the 67 grill spear, but as with every other small business right now capital is tight. If our fellow members can contact me with a list of at least
10 people that would preorder I will get the ball rolling. I would need a deposit on the emblem this would help with tooling cost and license fees. Did anything come of this I need the 67 Grill Spear as well....... I've been looking forever, I have a 66 Beaumont out at my dad's would that fit?? I would have to talk with him as its in the bush and pretty rusted anyways....

Would the 66 spear work??

Else this would be the next best option.....

You can also put a WTB ad on Kijjii. You never know what will turn up. I put one on for a sport deluxe truck emblem and had one in about 6 weeks, that was about 2 months ago. I put the ad on every major city. However currently Kiijjii seems to frown on people doing that. I did a similar thing with the rear panel sport deluxe chrome I need and they deleted all my ads except the Brandon one where I live.

interesting we should meet up when ever my project gets done... i take it you have a 67 beaumont? i live 20 mins east of winnipeg....

The emblems from Dale's are nice. I bought a grill spier from him and I am happy with it.

I do have a 67. Started restoring it this year.  I read your bio is yours going to be done this year? Super Run 2010 is in Brandon August long.
