I live in the Winnipeg area and am in the process of restoring with a little modification my 69 Beaumont Custom 2 dr hardtop. The car was a six cylinder car but that will be changed. The body is of the frame and the frame has been sandblasted and painted. Have upgraded to disc brakes up front and in the process of bolting in with some modification a 8.5 in. 4.11 geared rear end. Hope do do more in future as am now retired after 36 years at the railroad. I love Pontiacs and here is a list of some I have owned over the years;
58 4 dr , 63 Parrisian convertable ,64 custom sport,66 laurention,67 Firebird sprint 3.8 L overhead cam car, 68 Firebird 400 convertable four speed car and the car I now have my 69 Beaumont custom 2 dr hardtop. Any one know of the production figures for this car. (73537)
Ian, welcome here from your neighbour 1/2 hour south of Winnipeg.
Too bad you weren't here a week sooner. A whole group of us Manitoban's on here just had a long breakfast and gathering at our house here last Saturday! Make sure you read here faithfully as I suspect we may try to do it again in the spring.

Welcome to the site! Any neighbor of Carl's is welcome Ask Carl about the "Newbie swag" package Everyone is getting one...
greeting and salutations we love beaumonts here. and picts, any picts? i'm retired too but from the military. now time to work on the project just no money.
Sound good Carl, just my luck always seem to be late and a dollar short. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Hope I can contribute a little knowledge to this site. What engine EH, well I have two options sitting in my garage, a 400 small block that needs well everthing and well this one may make a few die hards cringe a 400 Pontiac big block that I was thinking of stroking to 461. Wonder if I should put this to a vote in the future. Well not to worry I have plenty of other things to do before I get to the engine.
hard call. we are all partial to our chevy powered pontiacs but i thought the 400 were a little weak in the bores with not enough space between them for proper cooling. i would look for something else
I guess a small block would keep it all Canadian and a whole lot cheeper to build compared to that Poncho block. Well I am a ways from that yet and who knows what will fall into my lap before I get to it. I had a 396 and a 307 and a 365 horse 327 years ago but burnt in a garage fire , the heat split the blocks. Had tears in my eyes overthat, specialy when I just got my 396 back from the machine shop.
my 69 beaumont custom 8 cyl production is 4177,6 cyl cars a usually less i have found ,but the custom 2 door hardtop was a very popular model,the most popular,the same as the malibu was to the chevelle
heres the us production for the 69 malibu 2 door hrdtp (shares the same trim level) 66 times as many malibus than beaumont figures(4177) of the same model line
275,334 8 cyl malibus yet they only made 14,226 6 cyl cars of that trim level
Acording to the information so far posted on the production figures there is a total 12982 cars produced total ,and 8950 cars of different models acounted for that leaves 4032 cars divided among 14 more different models. Should be interesting to see how that amount divides between them.
the 69 deluxe production numbers is only 3 and a half times as many so who knows? if we use this as a rule of thought it would be 1200 cars,but i think 6 cyls were more common in deluxes because they were a cheaper car ,and alot more customs were 8 cyls
73337 Beaumont Deluxe 6 cyl Two door hardtop ( 715 produced)
73437 Beaumont Deluxe 8 cyl Two door hardtop (2471 produced
