my friend past away of cancer back in 2002. When he could no longer work on it I would do the work and drive him around. Was a 350 hrs 396 two speed and 456 gears 12 bolt possi.I believe the car was sold to someone  in BC. Here is a before and after pic. The blue was not original ,He painted it in factory colours .

Very sad to hear about your friend. At least he had friends like you to see the car to completion.
Hats off to you!

I'm sure your friend appreciated very much what you did for him. Until we are in that situation, it's hard to imagine how we would handle.

It's interesting. An acquaintance of mine from Winnipeg passed away of a tumor about 12 years ago. He also had a 67 396 4 speed Chevelle. I believe his car is still around the city. It's a real light teal colour.

What I found interesting about this car Carl, was when my friend got his Gm package he received the copy of micro fiche and were as all the cars on the page showed shipped out within days of completion his wasn't shipped out until over two weeks later. His car was built with the L34 350 HP engine but when we tore it down had the factory GM 375 HP solid lift cam.
I guess could have been instahled by original owner. But interesting.

That is a neat story!

Those old fiche pages are sure interesting to read through.

I had a 67 Beaumont SD 396 350 hp 4-speed, but the cam was a solid 375 hp, the original owner told me that cam was put in under warranty-just another interesting angle-
