Hard to hide that Ontario rust, not sure why it's showing up in Kijiji Calgary.

Not sure if it is still there but in a wrecking yard about 3 hours south west of here in North Dakota there used to be a very low mile one of these crashed VERY hard in the front. It would be a great donor car for the unique rear stuff.

Pontiac called their version the 2+2 Aero Coupe I believe while Chevrolet's was the Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe.

Nothing special on these as far as drivetrain, a regular LG4 305 with about 140 HP. It's the body work on these that makes the car.

I dunno, with that huge rear glass it would be like a solarium in there on a sunny day, the weight of all that glass wouldn't help performance either.
Sorry, car has zero appeal to me.  A friend of mine in FL who wheels and deals in cars had one of these forever, ended up almost giving it away just to get rid of it.doh

I always liked these myself but believe the '86 Monte AeroCoupe was less production than these one year '86 GP versions and the most Aero units being the '87 Monte?.

It's a shame this one's so bad especialy being an original owner Canadian car and all..
Using it as a parts car to make a GNX AreoCoupe could be cool!.

The GP model is definitely more plentiful. Chevy only made the exact minimum Monte SS's that NASCAR mandates, 100 or 200?

After getting my first up close look at a Monte, i prefer the look of them over the GP. I don't really like the nose on these GP's. I've seen a few of the GP's, only one Monte Carlo.
