That is exactly like the one that used to be in my neighbourhood back in the mid 70's when I was in school. It too was white with black top and red interior, V8, automatic, 66 model. Really sharp car. Last time I saw it the whole of one side was wiped out in an accident; never saw it again. Same colors as my old 65 Parisienne ragtop too. This car looks really nice. Congratulations.

Well, I really want a 67 SD396 again, but I sure couldn't leave this sitting there-I'm addicted and its such an unusual find these days, this was the original owner's son-all the service records etc... He told me his Dad was a salesman and always brought a new car home to his Mom every year, this one got traded in in 1967 on a new Camaro but had to be bought back because Mom liked it so much - The car-the storey-the find, I likely paid over the market-but I like it-in short-its not posted "for sale" I'm not really in a position to do a restoration but I think this could be turned into a driver quite easily

Thats not really fair-at the age of 28 I owned my 73 Corvette for 9 years, my 67 SD396 for 7 years @ 32, my 65 Corvette for three years, my shortbox chevy for 6 years and many others for two or three years-everyone sells their car eventually-just depends if its a week later/a year later or ten years later-I have been known to buy and later sell at a profit due to two reasons 1.) feeding my family and providing for them is far more important than any automobile I've found yet 2.) I love cars lots of different ones and sure can't own them all at once so if I get them one at a time its good too-guess if I was blessed with tons of means I'd keepm' all but thats just not reality.

No, actually I just took my wife and youngest son for a ride we were looking through some lavish real estate and stumbled across a 40 year old sub division, cruising through-there it was sitting in the driveway ! He said at least eight people banged on the door in the last year-looked it up and down but refused to pay what his appraiser told him it was worth, it wasn't for sale just sitting there. I agreed to the price-he called all eight people that left their numbers (because they were there first) to see if they wanted it, then allowed me to call the flatbed to get it home-

Looks good. I am a little bias to the color scheme. I'm sure it will provide some fun.

Looks like a good score....Not keen on converts though, I've owned 2, a 65 Impala with a 455 Buick in it, and a 70 Sattelite, with a 6/auto, and the summers I owned them it was rainy. Never got to fully enjoy them, I guess.
Did get the looks though, driving around with the top down and the heater on in the rain...LOL
Figured, if I have a convertible, Damn, I'm putting the top down and drivin it.

As long as you know that was a good natured poke in the ribs from a very jealous Manitoban Ken!

That is a sweet car. It hurts to look at the pictures.

And same for me, food still takes priority.

That is why there will likely be something set loose here this summer. Not the Nova or Acadian though.

Ah yes, I won't take my ball and leave the room-just voicing my opinion-thats what friends can do with each other.

The Camino is $10,500 and the TA is negotiable, I plan on keeping it at least for now but but but I am a business man so I'd like to keep a lid on what I paid-no offense-I paid pretty quickly and actually double what he told me others offered-so I may be in too high-but I like it-I like the find

Ken you are not obligated to tell anyone what you paid. It's your car and your right to keep it quiet.

Ok, just me, ok buddy, huh? whisper.gifrofl.gif Sometimes I just crack me up!
