It's been raining since during the night. I heard of 3 different instances today of people lacing up their skates and being out on the street/highway with them. My normal 8-10 minute commute was 25 minutes this morning.

Looks bad, I hear we're in for the same in the morning in Ontario. I see you got the trusty SS in a shot. Whats that special graphics pick up truck?

Some Ground Effects package or something? Apparently GM ships it to them, they stripe it, carbon fiber dash, I forget what else and then they ship it direct to the dealer. We just got it last week. I haven't checked it out yet. The stripe yells "Dodge" at me....

It was nasty, my wife slipped on the ice going to the car and banged up here arm pretty good. Thought it might be brocken but she is to stuborn to go for ExRays. she said its ok now but I think she going to feel it in the morning.
In his autobiography, Gordie Howe says that's how he got to school every day, strapped on the blades and skated there, Floral Sask.
My Dad is from a little village in Cape Breton-he always told us they would skate to school from Alder Point to Little Brador on the inlet of frozen water between Alder Point and Point Aconi-Well it was a better storey than the "I walked to school up hill both ways two miles everyday" that everyone else got.
Hey he also told us that they used to race their cars out there on the ice-the first time my mother was there-my uncle was racing a 55 Ford 2-door(T-bird V-8) on the ice-all the village folk would come out to watch !
