How rare are bucket seats...especially in a 6cyl car?

Very nice car for some one to get into the hobby with. Easy to maintain, cheap to fix and run

Buckets are actually standard in a LeMans Sport.

This is outrageous, that car sold for $500 in September.

We were all over it before BUT I bought a Fleetwood shortly thereafter.

I was going to say that car looked familiar. It'd be funny to do up the 6 with a split manifold, trick valve cover, intake etc1

Did it actually sell in the fall? Or are they just trying to get a sale in the "spring market"?

I assume it sold because I sent an email letting the seller know I would take the car sight unseen if the deposit sale fell through. It was in St. Catherines before and now in Burlington, close I know. The language and tone of the two ads is completely different as well. I'm sticking with someone trying to make a G note on this one for a few months storeage.

In the end I am happy with my Fleetwood biggrin But as Todd says doing up sixes seems to be coming back in style. Lots of performance parts for a 250 Chevy out there as well, of course if you must have a six it would be best to grab a Truck 292 as a stronger starting point.

tuff market-might not get it from anyone anywhere, but I myself have no problem paying a guy profit if its what I want. I often pay a finder's fee if I buy- its only fair to do so seeing I charge to locate or broker.

I paid a guy $250 for tipping this 66 malibu to me three years ago and only able to buy it this past spring

I offered a guy $250 more for a 2000 Jimmy he had just paid for the other day-I left a note on the Jimmy he found it and banged on the door ! and bought it ! and he didn't sell it to me - no problem

It's only worth what somebody will pay for it!  If someone comes along now and gives him $1,500, so be it.  If it is overpriced, he'll be stuck with it.  We all had a chance to buy it last fall and nobody did, this guy ponied up the cash at some point and got it.  It's no different than finding something at a yard sale and knowing what it is really worth and then throwing it on ebay and making a killing.

A curbsider is someone who sells cars without a dealers permit.

Why would someone begrudge someone who took a chance, was first to buy something, and relisted it... the person with the 'curbsider' ad obviously has some p----- envy with the seller..

pontiac envy?

i got that a little on a house that i flipped... someone came in and said... "this house was $x cheaper only 2 months ago.... i replied that she should have bought 2 months ago then!

'flippers' or 'curbsiders' might win or lose, but it takes nerves, knowledge and intuition to be in 'the game' and they deserve the rewards!
