I watched a news program about how this is the busiest day of the year for restaurants. So.... who went out, who stayed home? I stayed in and cooked dinner. Menu was simple, Coquille St.Jacques appetizer (premade) Filet Mignon Lobster tails. Sounds expensive?, about $90 with a bottle of wine and a chocolate dipped strawberry desert for her. Stylin' on the cheap!
for the first time in i don't know how many years she didn't get a big fancy home cooked meal. (i have my chef papers so i can stir the vittles). my excuse is that i was working and didn't get home till 7.00. but on a reprieve, i'll do the spiffy dines on family day.
Well, I'm guilty of letting her cook... I did stay in the good books by giving her a huge box of fancy Lindt chocolates..and she did just have a birthday where I got her a day at the spa (she hasn't used it yet).
Gave her the musical card, and ring she wanted... I took the grand children to McDonalds, so she could nap...Took her uptown, for food at 'new' restaurant... She loved it! she paid....
We went to the bowling lanes here for a potluck/bowling shindig. Good food, lots of fun, plus we even won prizes. My wife won hersefl a box of chocolates, we also won a gift certificate for the liqour store and one for a restaurant. So we can spill it over into at least one more night out.
Just waiting on the wife then we will be of to supper then on to Cheech and Chong
Supper was pretty good But Cheech and Chong was not as good as I would of expected. Chong has still got it but Cheech was pretty bad. But all in all a good night was had.

I went for breakfast with the guys (we do this most Saturdays , freinds from the 60's) I got home and Betty-ann wasn't there, she went to her mothers in Vivian. I think I'm in the doghouse. Ate leftovers that night.
