George, you are a master at digging up interesting old posts.  Good stuff.

Often some interesting topics are discussed here, and then they eventually move down the page into obscurity.  It's nice to see some of them again, and also to wonder what some of the members who haven't posted here in a while, like 59Poncho for example, have been up to.

I have a complete collection of Motor Trend from 1949 to 1973. I should dig this issue up and check it out.

He moved to Mexico, and after that, he didn't post anymore. I'm curious why, but I guess one's life goes in another direction sometimes. His car would be a real "Tijuana Taxi" down there!

By coincidence, it was exactly 6 years ago yesterday Feb 18th that he last logged in!

Unique hybrids Motor Trend showed. First is a "Plodge" or Canadian Dodge, which has a Dodge front end & a Plymouth back end; Next is a Meteor, a Ford with a wardrobe change sold through Canadian Mercury dealers; next is a Monarch, a Mercury sold through Canadian Ford dealers; and then of course the Canadian  Pontiac which was a Chevrolet-Pontiac hybrid.

I recall him moving to Mexico, but posting for a while after that.  Perhaps he lost interest or sold the Pontiac... can't remember, but I do remember enjoying his posts.  Just like any messageboard, some stay some go... it's all very fluid.
