Our son calls me at work (from school) which he seldom does. I missed his call.  I'm worried why he's calling cause it's unusual. He's 14 so they talk cars quite a bit at breaks. He leaves me a voice mail.

Son "Dad, nothing urgent, but the guys are laughing at me cause I say a turbo GN can run 8's.  It can, can't it?"

I check Youtube. Fastest turbo GN goes 6.98!!!

He just called me back and I told him. I could tell he could hardly wait to go to his friends and nana.gif

Kids! Gotta love 'em!

Check out Gale Banks in 87 with a tubbed gnx with twin turbos. John Force led the pack of drivers to outlaw said car after he crushed the top fuel funny cars at the summer nationals! They wanted to create a special class to let him run it. Great marketing ploy for turbo city.

He and his buddy are the 2 biggest car nuts in Grade 9. His buddy is a die hard Ford guy so I am guessing that is the one who was bugging him the most.

He also asked if 302's were fast so I told him the story about beating a Rustang GT350 (68'ish) with my 427 4 speed Grande Parisienne and told him to tell his buddy that!

Yup, it's fun talking cars with him!

He never was a big car nut until he turned 13 a year ago, got his blast of testosterone, now he's 14, 6 foot 1 and loves cars!
