65 Acadian Beaumont SD convertible - V8 auto

well.. I decided on which car I'm going to keep.  So I now have this one up for sale.
its a 65 SD rag top with the original engine and trans (283, 2spd).  I've done absolutely nothing to it since I picked it up in Sept/Nov. last year.  It's in need of a complete body job.  The guy I bought it from gave me a run down of what he had done himself, and what had been done before.  The letter below is directly from him.  I've not confirmed the engine/trans rebuild..

"

I am selling my project car, 1965 Beaumont SD Convertible that I have had for 20 years it is still in pieces, the body still needs a lot of work but the frame and motor tranny are all redone. As well I have stainless dual exhaust plus stainless brake and gas lines.plus many new parts for the car, carpet kits all the new seals and rubbers. I have a new convertible top c/w a new glass window all these new parts and rubbers are still in new boxes, the seats were redone but unfortunately a rat has chewed some holes in some of the new upholstery parts, (which was really upsetting!!) This car is a matching numbers car. I have all the documentation from GM. I have the original warranty cards and manuals that came with the car new, there is documentation to show that this is a matching numbers car. I have most of the original parts for this car radio, console, power top parts, spare convertible top frame. emblems, plus extra setof tail lights etc.)"

*In addition to the above listing.
The car is a 283, 2 speed.  I dont know when the engine was rebuilt, or the transmission.

so there you have it.  I'm into the car for 16k.. 15k for the car and a grand to get it to Calgary.  I'm open to offers.

Well that's probably been a tough decision as that looks like a car with alot of potential. I'm sure you're finding though that you only want to do one of these every once in a while unless you got a bank account that's unlimited and almost that much time too. Good luck.

that is EXACTLY what its all about.. The other 65 SD rag that I have to do, is a 6cyl car.. but the original stuff is gone. So.. I can put whatever I want in it. I'd hate to do that to a car with the right parts sitting in it. The 65 SD hard top should be home by April sometime. Thats priority one at this point. I need a sugar momma that wants to keep my car habit alive.. LOL.

Let's make sure I understand this. Kelly, you buy a 65 6cyl SD with all the trim intact for 4500.00 (out of your mouth not mine), but suddenly a 65 V-8 without a list of parts like rocker chrome, etc that you bought cost 15000.00??!!??!!??!! My math isn't good so I like oranges!!

LOL.. sounds about right. The 6 cyl car is from a guy in the neighborhood I grew up in, and he wanted to restore it in memory of his brother (who owned it before he was killed). I told him I would give him first right to refusal when I got it done.

Put it on ebay with no reserve to see what's really worth. If you can get that for it tell them it's a package deal and I will sell them my project SD rag and yours for a even 30000.00
