Hi Guys I'm new to the site and have a few questions. A local guy has a 69 Beaumont he's willing to sell me for $1500. I'm curious how hard it is to get body parts as well as smaller items. The car needs front fenders and rear quarters. The original motor is gone. It has the bucket seat interior. What should I look for as far as ID'ing what motor it had originally. Do these cars have a trim tag like Chevelles? Are there any parts that are impossible to get? I know its hard to value a car over the internet but what do you guys think? Just looking for some guesstimates on value. I'm not new to the hobby just to Beaumont onwership. I just picked up a LS6 Chevelle so cash is tight but I love the 68-69 Beaumont styling and around here most have gone to car crusher heaven. A few years ago I passed on an all original one owner basket case 68-69 307/auto convertible for $4500 because I didn't know if parts were available. I still wonder if I made a mistake. I don't want to miss this car if it's restorable. Thanks in adavnce for any insight, opinions, or info. Steve.
I will let the Beaumont guys with more knowledge fill you in but generally anything you need you will be able to find through the contacts you make on here. There is plenty of Chevelle/ Tempest interchangeability as well. A 1969 Beaumont will always be more valuable to us than a Chevelle plus 69 is the last year of production for Canada. For $1,500 you will have a line up if you don't take it.
Welcome to the site, and I agree with 73SC $1500 sounds like a good price to me what did you say his number was ? LoL. If you get the cowl tag info we can decode for you. All the body pannels of a chevelle will fit. Interior the same as Chevelle except the dash, thats 69 GTO/Lemans. The grill and tail lights are Beaumont only items, but should be able to find used parts if you have to. And of course the emblems are Beaumont only.
