Wow, a factory air car too.

My neighbour with the beautiful 67 SD 396 4 speed car is doing a 67 442 factory air car this winter. I may have to get you some pics for inspiration!

Is your's a Canadian car? Unusual (around here anyway) to see one with air.

Oh and I'm torn between the LT1 and the 425 so I didn't vote!

I'd like to see something a little different- like the 5.3. You can really wake those engines up and they are fairly reasonable to buy.

How about a 455, punched out to a larger cid with an 6 speed stick?

But put 330 decals on it...!

Check in w/ me if you're hurtin' for any parts for this one..
As I mentioned before, I have a '67 Cutlass Coupe parts car at my buddy's farm here in Peterboro'..
It's an original SC factory air car that took a heavy hit to the front and pass. side..
The best parts left are a real decent driver's door and quarter...a few more pickings are left too but interior and rear axle gone..
The 330/310 Ultra High Comp/ motor and split shift trans were Ok but have been sitting for the last 3 or 4 years now..

It was a drum car and a pale yellow...looks like yours may have been the same color originally?.
It looks like it was hit by a train...front frame horns about 2 feet over to one side and the pass. side wasted and scraped like it rode a hundred feet on it's side?.
I pulled the 12Bolt Posi, black bucket interior, rear bumper and gastank for a '67 442 clone a few years back and laid a few ac parts on a fella I know w/ a '66 ragtop..
The nice driver's door, quarter and rest of the parts need a loving home before it's too late..

The motor's been outside in the car w/ plastic over the carb so would need a teardown/rebuild for sure but it is the original UltraHigh Comp 330/310 Hp..
If you're going to run a/c on it you'd need to swap heads w/ each other as the accident sheared the a/c mounting bosses off the front of the pass side head and you'd need to swap them making it land as the back of the driver's side head..
I pulled the Air Cleaner assy w/ the original UltraHigh Compression Pie-Plate and have it stashed it in the garage...the original spare is there too I think?.
I'm not looking to get rich and could've made way more $ last summer on scrap value than I need for it but couldn't do it as I'd rather see it go to someone who can use the good stuff instead of letting it waste away..
So make me an offer for all of it or whatever parts you want...I'm easily tricked so swap me for something else I don't need if you'd rather?.

Love the olds cars and the 425 is a torque monster. Go with the 425 back it with a 200r thats been beefed up and run a higher 3 series gear. The car will accelerate better with that tranny and the od will be sweet to cruise the open road in.Some younger guys at shows dont know what a pontiac or olds motor is and what there capable of.

I like the 425 also, I had one in a 66 olds Delmont 88 four door hardtop, It could do a burn out until the tires went flat, even with a car full of screaming teanagers. O that brings back memories.

That's a coincidence because I made a post about using these Vortec engines in muscle cars earlier this week. I have a Suburban and if you never have driven one these are not slow vehicles. The 6.0 puts out 345 to 360 HP and 380 lb ft. That is enough to get a big 5,800 lb rig up to 100 kph in about 8 seconds, just figure what it will do for a 3400 lb intermediate.
