Thank goodness, the door sill trim from a 4dr Buick that was being scrapped fitted exactly on the 65 malibu, even the screw holes! No charge! With Fischer emblems.
Whats killing me is knowing that there is an NOS full set of trim less then 15 minutes drive from me an chances are he will never part with the stuff. I don`t blaim him. I`ve seen the big players buy a complete car to get a part they need then resell. If DT gets the look and fit correct, I will step to the plate when its time. I need to find the one that goes between the drivers door and rear wheel to help a friend complete his car. Anyone with a fair to good one out there willing to sell?

Nevermind the trim! Your Barn/Garage/Den came out great!
With regard to buying trim. It is much more exspensive than buying mechanical parts! Here we have to import and that doubles the price that you pay especially when a local dealer is in the picture!

Thanks, I have to paint around the garage doors yet, but it's really close now. My wife and I are very happy with it. She likes the look of it, but I like the look of what's inside!
Hello everyone, This is Taylor from DTStainless. To address the issue of Kelico sending back the trim for modifications, this was our first 65 set to be done as well as being one of the first sets overall to be done. As Kelico is and was aware of, it was difficult to reproduce while not having the vehicle to fit up against, and also with some original pieces which were not in the greatest of shape.
As it took longer than normal for our first 65 trim set to be reproduced, some time was spent when the trim was sent back to seek out another 65 Beaumont set to compare to his original set. Doing this allowed us to confirm where there was damage on the originals, and where there was not. We admit to some errors in the trim when they were first sent to Kelico, but we made no hesitation to correct the errors.
As for the the "small blemishes" that Kelico mentioned, these were scratches which occurred while in his possession. We did however buff the scratches out as no cost to Kelico, as we appreciated his patience throughout the reproduction process.
It upsets me to hear that Kelico has reviewed us in such a way, while not being understanding of the situation that he was well aware of from the beginning and for not contacting us personally about this matter. There has not been a time when we have not done our best to make him happy.
We have done many 66 sets and have had nothing but great reviews and happy customers. It is unfortunate that due to having some issues with our first 65 trim set, our image among some of you has been tainted.
I do hope that anyone who has further issues will contact us personally, instead of making comments privately which we would have been unaware of if I had not checked this forum.
once again I sound like a D I N K, but. after reviewing the input through this blog I dont think I was. I'm going to Calgary on the 11th of March for a week and hope to work on the car for a day or 2. As I've said before.. I'm sure the stainless has been modified to fit perfectly, and the quality will STILL be excellent. more photos to follow for us here and off to DT directly.

Kelly, your not a dink. It wasn't right, plain and simple, and for $2k they should have come out and installed it to make sure it was perfect! When I convinced Legendary to do the interiors, it was on the basis of being the same price as a GTO. It took 1-1/2 years, but with the help from you and others on this site, it got done. Right price and awesome quality. I don't think that DT is in that category. I may be wrong, but I'm not shelling out $2k any time soon.
