I bought a "new" Roadmaster today!

I have unintentionally derailed someone else's thread on a somewhat unrelated topic, so I will move the stuff here.

I bought another late model B body todayno Just couldn't help it!!!

I drove home another 94 LT1 Roadmaster today that I don't really need, but I couldn't pass it up.....

Still looking for the elusive Fleetwood ?

I was working on a Fleetwood deal as well. The two cars were similar in price (Fleetwood was a touch more $) but the 'Wood was 2 hours away and had a ruined LT1, overheated and knocking. I have a brand new LT1 crate engine but by the time I trailer the Caddy here, put in an engine and finish the car I would likely have fair market value in it. Might as well just buy a driver.

The Roadie was 40 miles away, bought from second owner (owned since 1996), absolutely purrs so quiet you want to hit the key to start it when it's already running, has a remote starter, 4 brand new Firestones, brand new battery and he let me leave his license and insurance on it to drive it home. I couldn't help but buy it. The interior is an identical twin to my wife's car and is in even better shape than our interior.

No, mostly just what's listed in my signature. I've had to scale back due to financial and indoor space restrictions!

If stuff could be sitting outside and IF we never had these crazy spring floods here (another one coming they say) it would be like I told my wife the other day----we'd have a 35 acre auto wrecking here!

I hope you stay high and dry.
I only can have one wreck in the driveway, but have to ask first and deadline of it being gone.

That's what I told the guys at work when I pulled up with it this afternoon. Flood's coming guys, but I'm prepared, I just bought a boat!

All but one of them have no use for big V8, big car, rear wheel drive stuff. The one exception is another Roadmaster owner!

I know you love them Carl and why not, GM knew how to build those big V8 rear wheel drive luxury cars, I'd say they should have stuck with what they did best! Good luck with it.

Yeah, I know. I guess I better take my camera to work tomorrow so I can post some pics to keep the "pic wolves" at bay!

I'll go put my camera in my shoes, that is how I remember to take things to work. Never forgot to put on my shoes yet before I left for work.

Hey Carl for late models those Roadmaster and mid 90's chevs were very sexy.  I always had a secret hankering for an impala ss of those years.  My brother is a cop and he says those chevys were indestructable and fun to toss around on the highways.

Good Buy!  Want to swap for a 1948  KB5 International 3 ton?

Shows pretty good, interior is near mint, drives great, runs quiet but it's got 328,000 km.

What's the most mileage you've seen on an LT1?

There was a guy years ago on the Impala forum who was still drag racing his Impala with the never opened short block. It had over 300,000 miles, not kilometers but miles.

Then you don't have to worry for another 160,000 km! biggrin

I had a neighbour who bought a taxi, well  a hotel car that did airport runs actually, late 80's Caprice with a 305, I couldn't believe my eyes when he showed me one day the mileage. I saw over 700,000 on the clock. Toronto cabs can not be over three years old so he got it when it was pretty young.
