Apparently the scoop is the same one used on late 1960's ford 2 ton grain trucks.
My friend has one too, and thats what its from.  I have seen them on those trucks before.

That car is friggin' deadly and I remember finding a mag article on it (maybe that same one) when I was at one of my kids hockey tourneys out of town a couple years ago..   I'd picked up the magazine on the way to lunch and had to skip eating w/ everybody else and go to the car to read the mag instead!.
The only better would be if it was a W-Motor Strato!.

Wow! Cool! I have been thinking long and hard about what hot-rod hood scoop to use, and have been unable to find anything that looked period-correct (early 60's), but this one is perfect!
