I had a Race Car

While I was making, my Boss, a millionaire, in Exeter Ont for 16 years, I bought all my Performance Stuff from Parkdale Auto   Got to Know Russ Parker, and in time, I bought his Nova Race car  rolling  with Weld Wheels and new slicks and front runners. $2500.00  The was run witha supercharged six.. It became the street class champion at Grand Bend Dragway....Another car, I should have kept disbelief

Carl I'd be interested in seeing a thread of every car you've owned and a picture of each one as it looks like you've done well in the photo department keeping track of them. At the bottom you'd probably need a big picture of Scotties or some type of tissue. One at a time like this is fine too.

Carl, this is the right place to share your photos! So you ran a supercharged six in the Nova? Details, man, we want details!

You mentioned Parkdale Performance. It got me thinking that I still had my 1970 brochure from them when they were in the east end of Hamilton near Stoney Creek.
Voila!

Chad, you should know better than to ask that above.gif  I see it was really early when you asked and were likely waiting on the coffeemachine.gif

I think your signature is the best explanation.....S/C.  You made a big boat with a 281ci run in the 13's in the awful Calgary air clap.gif

I think it is pretty cool to make small ci's go....! I would like to see the engine set up on a sc'd six. What did the car weigh? Do you have to do lots to make the engine strong?

2800 lbs with 9 inch Ford rear and 4.30 gears    You just take it to a 6 cyl guy and spend the same as a small block

The top 292 six cylinder runners in Canada were Michener, Lang ? They were running a 292 six for years. They had a connection with GM and were supplied all the new small block heads as they were being developed by GM. They took two heads cut them and welded them together to make one six cylinder head.

One of the original members of the race team has a booth next to ours at the fall Barrie flea market. I've heard many stories on the development of the 292 including a story where they were in Pomona for the winternationals and won the best enginering award . They were using Kay Sissel's shop to set up their car.
