I got a call from greyhound today and they said my parcel from Vancouver was in..... So I rushed down to get it.
The caps are '62-'63 13" wheel poverty caps. They've got quite a few dings and need to be re-chromed. I also added a side by side picture to the '67 beaumont caps for a comparison of diameter and shape.
Also got the 2 trunk spears I'm missing and a spare trunk acadian script, which also need to be re-chromed.
Carl, are you seeing this? these caps are 13" that verifies the pictures in the 65 brochure. That means the 14" "A" caps would be right for your car with 14" wheels.
I guess the 65 brochure only pictures cars with 13" wheels.

The Beaumont caps with the light grey colors in the center with the ribs are 65, not 67. If they were black in the center near the Beaumont emblem they would be 67. Just some info. If you want to let them go I'm interested.
1964 and 1965 cars use the "A" cap. painted black. 1966, 1967, 1968 use the beaumont spear cap. 1967 is for sure painted black 1968 is for sure painted a light silver 1966 is either black or dark silver (not sure)
Acadians used these caps too, but im not sure what the colors-by-year are.

This is the line up for 69 Beaumont, looks like the one with the spear was available for 69. Is the rally wheel ZJ7 the small centre in 69 or the taller centre ? can not tell from this pic.

Canadian Pontiacs never used the tall derby caps. The shallow flat dish caps were used through the 1970 model year on the B bodies and 69 on the A bodies.

The 64-65 "A" cap is for the Acadian//Chevy 2 style cars only, but yes they are for the 64-65 years of those cars. I met a lady in Victoria with a 65 Beaumont custom rag years ago and the spear type dog caps were on it and they were stock. As stated before there could be cars out there with the others because the factory just used up the stock they had in 65 because of the strike. The "A" only style is normally for Acadians only. It is entirely possible that there could be both so pick the one you like. Keep in mind that the old adds could be wrong. I have a 65 Chevelle SS add that shows wide chrome fins like the Beaumont behind the door and that was never installed. I should post that one because it came out of a Chevelle manual. I really only know the 65 Beaumont line because of the quantity of these cars that I own. I Agree to disagree.
Dave / Carl, I checked my '62-'65 Parts Catalogue. '64 & '65 Acadian 14" cap is the same as the '64 & '65 Beaumont A-Body cap.
Sure you looked up the dog dish because the SD spinner cap is the same. Never seen a "A" dog cap mounted on a 64-65 Beaumont. Very few 65 Beaumont cars had these dogs anyway. I have many manuals with varied results. Here is a good one. I have a drivers side front fender Beaumont emblem that is ment to have a the Beaumont on the left followed by the sportdeluxe emblem. Therefore the Beaumont emblems both face the front of the car. The emblem doesn't have a divit for the sportdeluxe emblem. I check the Beamont parts manual and the part doesn't exist, but it does. The original owner swears that there is a right and left emblem. These manuals are very often wrong or don't include all the possibilities. Either caps look great and are rare.
Every unmolested 1964 and 1965 beaumont that i have ever seen. And including the brochures always have the "A" hub cap. It was standard on all models(exceptSD). unless option P01 full wheel covers were ordered. 64 and 65 always use the "A" hubcap because the "beaumont" spear was not even invented until 1966 when the marque changed.
Just my 2 cents, no worries
Here are some pics(maybe 4-2-7 can make them bigger)

I have seen photos like these before. I didn't say that it didn't exist, just that the only original set on a car that I have seen were the others. Which ones do you like better?
But i have to admit, when the centers are painted black it really sets them off. (as illustrated by the rusty sedan pic above.-looks boring without the black middle.)

You might know this. I have two different 65 Beau rag top hold down brackets, part numbers 9703623 and a 9704589. Both parts are the same and I wonder which is listed in the Beaumont manual. My manuals are packed because I'm moving. Another double part number or year split?
Sorry can't help with that one. Perhaps Carl S will know.
I even went out and pulled a set off a parts car to check. 9704589 was the one off of that Beau. Tried the 9703623 and it fit perfect. These Beaus sure are funny.
