Too many eBayers are lying in their ads to get you to look.

The car is actually a Strato Chief, which he freely admits to in the ad. So, why mislead us by calling it a Bonneville? Because the truth doesn't matter.....the sale matters.
no

I don't think Ebay has Strato Chief listed as a model.

One of the tricks I've seen used is to list a regular Camaro or Chevelle with the phrase, "NOT a SS", but when you search for a SS, guess which listing gets included.

It's an under $5,000 to me. I like it, by my thinking the lack of a period correct engine detracts though, but hey I'm not an appraiser.

Yes  they were Safari, according to OUR library of

Brochures.....  at least it should not need a 10,000.00 body job..

Prime candidate to turn into the world's fastest Strato.

Sadly, that is true. No Pathfinder, or Laurentian, etc. either.

In the guy's defense, he had to choose something and he tried to get as close as possible in the title.

I still can't get my insurance company to understand that I have a Pathfinder. All I get is "So is it a Chieftan or a Star Chief?" After a few rounds of frustration, I end up saying "Well it is closest to a Chieftan" <sigh>

I guess I am the minority American, I have known about the different Canadian cars since I was 13 - among other things, you could swap grilles direct bolt-in and fool others into thinking you had a custom-made grille smile.gif  and I always thought the Laurentian and Parisienne names sounded cool - should've had Ricardo Montalban do the commercials, imagine those names rolling off his tounge biggrin.gif

I am unable to explain why there is such ignorance among Americans about things Canadian. I apologize for all those boors.

I love my Canadian Pontiac!

Everywhere I go (when it is finally running, eh?) I am sure people will ask me about it (since you just don't see that old iron around much, especially with the cool stainless strips on the hood) and I will proudly say "It's a Canadian Pontiac" and I bet that will lead to "Huh?" and that will be my lead-in to educate at least one person smile.gif
