6 cylinder Flywheel wanted

Does anyone in Manitoba has a Flywheel(standard trans) for a 62-67 era 6cyl.
Off of a 194/230/250 motor.
It needs to be the SMALL diameter off a Car.

I have a truck one, but it is the large one.
I have one from a 283-327, correct small diameter, but doesnt fit on a 6cyl.

All i need it for is to use on my break-in/test stand. i have to use a flywheel for harmonic purposes. otherwise the engine freewheels too much and revs to high.

99% positive I have one Dave. I was moving stuff to higher ground on the weekend and I'm certain I moved the one I pulled off a 194 Acadian engine, circa 1965.

I will check tonight, I forget where I moved it to!

Thats awesome.  No rush on that, just put my name on it for the next coffee meeting.
If its off a 194, its sure to fit.
Atleast its heavy, so it wont float away in the meantime.biggrin

I have one of those of a 283.  its too thick and hits the casting on the back of the 6cyl block.

The flexplates for automatics are the same from 6 to 8.  Perhaps that is what you are thinking of.

Either that, or i possibly have a wierd early 283/265 flywheel that is thicker.  It is possible?

Dave, I plan on going to 57Poncho's place tomorrow night. If you are in a hurry for it, I could drop it off there.

No rush, i'm sure you have lots more important things happening right now.

If you do need an extra metal OMC tank, i do have one(just no hose, damn).

Ok, I will probably just leave the flywheel for a different day. I'll be ready for a coffee break after this is all over anyway!

I will likely get out to the cabin on Sunday and if so, then I will finally have my fuel hose (and spare tank).  Thanks Dave.
