I can finally share my findings with regards to the louvers similarity between 67 Canso SD cars, and those from a 67 Parisienne 2+2.
Final Verdict: These louvers are not the same!
Although they look the same, they are dimensionally different. Their width at the widest point is the same at 1-1/2", but the length is where the difference is. 3-1/8" vs 3-1/2" (approx)
Exhibit: A The 1967 Parisienne 2+2
1-1/2"
3-1/8"
Exhibit: B The 1967 Acadian Canso SD
1-1/2"
3-1/2"
This puts a close to another one of those questions that alot of people wonder about. I purchased the Parisienne 2+2 louvers thinking they were the same as the Canso louvers. They are not the same.
If anyone needs a set let me know because I have no use for them. My hunt continues for the proper SD louvers measuring 3.5" in length.

So this is one of those brain teasers right, a joke, just to see who's paying attention.
If you start your Canso SD measurement at the 1" mark and it ends at the 4 1/2" mark that makes it 3 1/2".
I think what you have proven is the louvers used on the two models are almost identical, 3 1/8" vs. 3 1/2" that has to be almost impossible to discern from 5 feet.

Should be me paying more attention......I have corrected the measurements in my original post.
The SD louvers are actually 3-1/2" in length. I noticed that the measurement from the photos I received were taken from the 1" mark but then I simply read the 4-1/2" as the distance.
Again, I wonder why was GM producing trim pieces with such slight dimensional differences?

The ones on the Canso look better to the proportions of the car. I does seem rather odd , I'd agree with you that the parts are close in size but not exact.
