Anybody hook up a brand new brake booster and have the pedal drop?

I was all happy that I have my blue 65 rag project running and then I noticed the brake pedal. When I start the car it sucks the pedal to the floor and when I shut it off it returns to it's normal state. This car didn't have power brakes so I added them. The vaccum line comes off the intake where the power glide vaccum line used to hooks up too. I pulled off the line and there's lots of suction. Any ideas?confuse
