Al Ruth in Ontario is doing the Restoration of our 2nd 65 L79 Beaumont which should be Completed by Mid July of this year. Al has been working on the car for the last couple of years while waiting on parts to finish it. We finally got the last few parts we needed, the SD side moldings the ACADIAN trunk letters, & a new interior which we order from information on the Poncho web site.
Attached are a few pictures of the original car, the restoration, and documentation from GM of Canada.
The last picture is of the our 1st L79 Beaumont at Medowbrook Concourse de Elegance in Rochester, Michigan. It will also be in the Special Canadian Pontiac Displayat the 2009 Pontiac Co-Vention in Dayton Ohio July 7th thru 11th. Hope to see a few more Canadian Pontiacs there.
Yes only 23 L79's built in 65 less than 9 were Convertibles and as far as we know there are only 6 left. 2 in BC one is a Convertible, one in Ontario, one in AB, and 2 in Michigan (ours).

Did you sell the convertible? Last year you had the two white cars, one a HT and one a conv. and the red one being restored. Are you going to the show at Soaring Eagle this year? I sent you an email concerning the Specialty chapter of POCI and look forward to being involved. thanks, Norm
