He says 1 of 1,723, which is how many hatchbacks were made, it also is a 4 speed which has to make it even rarer. Total 1974 GTO production was 7,053. This is not the rarest year however.

1973 - 4,806
1972 - 5,807
1974 - 7,058

The most popular GTO ever was 1966 with 96,946 produced.

Are you meaning the gold car in the ad is a 4 speed Ray? It looks to be an automatic.

I do not recall them having painted bumpers.  Is that part of the GTO pkg or just a mod he made.
I think these cars are comparable to the 1974 Spirit of America Nova.  Although that was a one year only car.  They only seem to bring $7,500 to $10,000 depending on the level of restoration.
This car is a 350 ci SBC isn't it??

If it is original it will be a 400 or 350 Pontiac engine

Looking at the front of the intake I think it's a Pontiac. Also the alternator bracket looks like Pontiac.

I looked fast and bolted for my hockey tryout so it is auto. 350 4bbl was the only engine in 74 a Pontiac, I can't tell from that pic what it is now. Painted bumpers...no

I agee on the bumpers bleh To lazy to take them off and rechrome them. He hacked the dash putting in gauges.  I don't think in this market that it will bring $7,500
