I've seen the ads for that one, haven't I?

That is a beautiful Grande Parisienne. I have looked at the pics of it (I'm sure that's the same one) a number of times.

More pics?

Would that be a BBP instead of a BBC?biggrin

So with that front end styling(like a GP).  Does that make it a 67 Grand Parisienne?

I went to one of our local collector car auctions on Saturday. I saw this car as I walked around and was somewhat surprised. It has been listed for sale over the past year with comments about $100,000 restoration.
We have followed this car locally for a few years. It was owned by a gentleman who does nice restorations for a living. The car was good and solid and I liked it before it was restored.

When it hit the auction block someone bid $3,000. no one else was jumping in so I had to take my hands out of my pocket and raised the bid. I eventually bought it for more than I wanted to spend but way under the reserve.

Cool, I see a speedwarning in there too!

My 67 Grande Parisienne wagon had one. It made me jump in shock a few times when I was out on the highway!!!

did you get the documentation with it too?  The restorer had the protect-o-plate showing it was originally delivered to GM's corporate office in Calgary.

Re the speed warning speedo set at 70 mph, you Ontario guys must remember the speed limits here in Alberta have been 110 kmph since they changed from 65 mph in the late 1970's.  While it would have been a short drive from the auction site to Rick's shop, I'm sure he wound it up on Deerfoot Trail.

We are finally getting some of those 110km one province to the east here in Sask as well. But it is only a speed limit sign! 70 is still a shy number when it comes to cruisin......!

You take one look at that gorgeous car, then drive to your local Pontiac store, have a look around and scream at the top of your lungs "Oh Pontiac, WHY have thou forsaken me?"
There. It had to be said!
