'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
But it will never be an original. You can build up a 427 that will be more powerful for less cost so what is the point? Just to say you have a "numbered" engine built 40 years after the real mccoy?

I checked the ad out, the email contact is the parts Department Manager at Laurie Williamson Pontiac Buick dealership. I guess only selected GM dealers got one. Pretty impressive to think that a Canadian dealer would have such a limited piece.
I saw one installed in a 32 Ford at NSRA Tampa, verrrrry impressive, the owner fired it up and the mechanical lifters in that aluminum block sure sounded sweet!
But $25K is too much money for a motor IMHO, I have $8K in my 496 and it has aluminum heads, roller cam, and all the goodies, at least as much HP for 1/3 the cost.
However I still think the ZL-1 even the modern day clones are verrrrrrrry impressive motors

I believe only 427 of these engines were made and each one is numbered.
I asked about one awhile back and yes thats correct. Its ment to be a colletor engine from the get go. Put in your hotrod and make your ride even more rare. LTD casting of this block.
