Alberta does seem to have it's share of Beaumonts....

I should add, you have just helped very much by providing the data for your car.
Are you familiar with the the early 67 Sport Deluxe cars having a model number 73617 (or 73667 for convertible) and the later ones being 73817 (or 73867 for convertible) ?
Only a couple of people know the actual day this change occurred and they are not willing to make this information public. However this registry has been helpful in narrowing down the date when it happened. Your info shows that it happened between Nov 25th, 1966 (the latest SD car in the registry with a 73617 model number) and Dec 6th, 1966 , the build date of your car (your's being the earliest 73817 SD car in the registry).
Thank you for your very important info!

Never mind, I must be tired. I looked at the registry some more. You do have the oldest big block SD car there with a 73817 model number, but I think I am wrong about the latest 73617 SD big block car.
Have to go read some more!

I have owned this car since 1980 it was a striped car. I paid $500 dollars, the motor was destroyed but the body was intact. The only thing missing were the side louvers, rear quarter emblems and back trim. It has 45273 on the o.d. which is original because in 1980 it had 41350 and had been parked for 6 years plus my door pins are original and no play. The car has no rust at all stored in shop since 1980. This summer I started to restore the car and... well... it' a shell! The 396 is red not orange converting from drum to disc trying to keep 14 inch wheels car was turquoise with gold interior now invented red with black interior going to keep manual steering so my wife(who is typing this!!!!) won't drive it when it's done.
Nice project. We have two big block cars on Oct 27th one a 73667 (conv) and one 73617 (hardtop) and then yours as the earlyist 73817 car. Some were between Oct 27 and Dec. 6th Would be the crossover. We have no November cars yet.
