local high school prom parade

the local tradition in our burg is that they have a prom parade.  the kids try to find different vehicle to be dropped off at the prom. somebody even had a WWII duck. my wifes best friends son asked me to take him and some friends in my 55. so they hooked a trailer up to the beast and off we went. fred (68sd) was ahead of me in his cougar.

tailgating the cougar

They don't parade here but the kids all try to get a special interest vehicle.

After the all night party the kids (sober of course) make the 45 minute drive to Winnipeg at dawn and go out for breakfast.

A number of years ago our nicer Impala SS took the trip in the company of some supposedly fast Beamer, a late model Vette, 99 Camaro SS and I forget what others. Of course the Vette and Camaro were quick but according to the guy driving my SS the Beamer wasn't that fast after all..............!!!!!
