I wish I could go, it's a two day drive from here, I was there back in 1990ish, there was a nice dark blue original tripower 1965 GTO for sale for 15K, back then I thought it was alot of money, now it has tripled ! It sure cost alot to set up a vendor's table there, here in Winnipeg it's only $10.

My spot is 2Q7 in the Blue Field.  I should be there around 1:00 for lunch if anyone is in the vicinity and at various other times during the day when I need a break - can't put too much strain on the new hip!

picked up a 55-57 chev/gmc truck parts book (cdn), 64 acadian supplement book, and a GM factory approved parts book 212 from 37 to 51 (cdn). also a hood spear for i think a 64 or 65 acadian and a thermostat housing for the beast, plus too sore feet.

My buddy and I made the day of it yesterday. Our 20 year tradition and the weather couldn't have been better. I wish there was some way of getting it back to an "automotive flea market"  the motorcycle, atv, snowmobile, socks and beer can wind chimes take up way too many spaces.  I complain every year and go every year. I heard the fall swap meet is more automotive oriented. Any thoughts on this ?

Was there on Friday, stopped to say hello and chat with Kevin and Hillar. I saw a front and 2 rear bumpers for 66/67 Acadians, a clean 67 Acadian grille, some Laurentian and Parisienne scripts,64 Custom Sport emblems,63 Pontiac trunk lids (2), back up lite housings for Acadians and Beaumonts, 67 Beaumont grille, 68/69 Beaumont tail lites. Generally more stuff than I have seen in quite a while at Barrie. Lots of socks and quite a few empty lots.

Good morning from your on site reporter!

It was great to meet up with Steve, Kevin and Chris yesterday.

For anyone who comes around today it is actually better to come to spot 2 P 7 in the Blue field; look for the beige 81 GMC van.

Chris is right, more Beaumont and Acadian parts than I have seen in many years but in overall size the swap meet is way way down in size; parts of two fields are not even being used!

As others have said, it is rapidly degenerating from an automotive swap meet to a general flea market. Haney used to have a rule where every Vendor's content had to be at least 75% automotive related, now you can go entire rows full of non automotive stuff. ATVs, lawnmowers, lawn ornaments, soaps and perfumes, CDs, this is stuff I can get a local flea market every weekend. I feel sorry who have spent the time and money to travel long distances to get here; talked to several people from the Maritimes yesterday.

I haven't had a chance to check my stash yet. Steve do you need just the lenses or the entire tail light assemblies with housings as well?

IMG_0980.JPGWould the set of tail lights off my 1970 Bonneville parts car fit ? A piece of the chrome bezel is missing on the driver side, see pic.

I'm assuming the rag is the 70 bonnie. if so yes, and how are the front signal lights too.
