obviously it goes to show that the BC regulators do not know what they are doing.wink

also, it could be registered as a 287, who would ever know as the blocks are the same size externally.

I agreebiggrin Rarer and cheaper to boot. You would never get a 57 BelAir 2 dr hrdtp looking in as nice condition for that kind of money.

All you do is send in pictures to get your collectors. If something ever happens to the car and he has to deal with ICBC........They could tell him his insurance is void.
Some are reported and have to bring the car in and the plates will be taken off.

Actaully it is all probably legal with having the collector plates. About 5 years ago ICBC updated their modified collector status. It was imposed to allow the hot rodders to also be approved. There is quite a bit more to it now for these plates as compared to the regular collector plates. They increased the age on thesse cars to 58 and prior. It is the same plate as the reg collector. It was set up for 48 and prior about 10 years ago but ICBC knew about the flood of paperwork that would insue on this. I am not sure if they arre going to increase the age on them again. Just and FYI for you
