We are packing the Acadian, GPS, Laptop and route info in hand. Leaving this AM for Warren, MI and the gathering point in a park at Mt Clemens, MI. We decided to pick up the tour here because we were commited to a car show last weekend locally. Tomorrow the tour will leave for Dayton, Ohio then on to Kentucky and Friday and Saturday we are at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN. Looking forward to the drive and all the great people along the way. We already know several people that started last weekend in Wisconsin, they are part of a group of member's from "Steve's Nova Site" we talk to on line. Hope to post some pic's along the way, if my wife/photographer/navigator/co-pilot isn't too busy.
We arrived home last night from the Power Tour. On the road for 7 days and we drove just under 1700 miles. First time the Acadian has been on a long trip and with a trunk full of luggage. What with all the potholes and road construction, I think the car settled over an inch front and back. I might need to go back and change the springs again. Everything on the car worked fine right down to the cigarette lighter for the GPS and cell phone charger. I ordered a new camera for my wife to take on the trip but it did not arrive until the day after we left, so not too many pictures taken. The Hot Rod Power Tour did stop one night in Dayton, Ohio and we spent the night at the Red Roof Inn where we have reservations for the POCI Co-Vention next month. I will post a picture we took of the Nutter Center where the Canadian Pontiac cars will be displayed. We took the picture from the balcony of the motel. The tour ended in Bristol, TN and we hung around an extra day to get a tour of the track. The picture at the bar was taken in Bruton Smith's private luxury box overseeing the track.

Great shots Norm, and I like your choice of wardrope as well!
Can you let me know the exact address of that Red Roof in Dayton? I will make my reservation there as well, maybe it can be designated the Canadian Poncho headquarters. Bring your lawn chairs folks, we'll have a parking lot party each night.
Norm, what day are you arriving and leaving?
Thanks,

Sorry, I should have posted the info for that Red Roof, it is:
Property Name:
Red Roof Inn Dayton East - Fairborn
Property Address:
2580 Colonel Glenn Highway Fairborn OH 45324
Hotel Number:
1-937-426-6116
Not a real fancy place but decent and reasonable. There is a Speedway gas station/convenience store next door but most everything else would require driving. As you can see it is about as close to the main venue as you will get.
