A little more progress

Not ready to hit the road yet, but I just had to see how the rear tires fit with fender massaging my neighbor and I did (driver's side was dented in) and high-lift rear springs I had made, I think the rake is just about right:

And here's how my old Ansen Sprints look after polishing and with the new center-cap spinners, front

and rear

Gonna have to rebuild the carb, I think, and might have to drain and clean the fuel tank, depending on how much crud is in the carb, if so I might as well upgrade to 3/8" lines from the tank ... it's a project smile.gif

rofl.gif!!! Jeezus I almost p***ed my pants!!!!!! That is too much! I've been thinking about what to put on the plates, somthing like CDNPONT or a play on the Rat Rod with the Rat Motor, or whatever, but this one is Priceless! I'll do it (unless some other sneaky hoser has already done it grrrrrr)! Just gotta get her running enough to drive to my bank where the friendly notary public will stamp the title applciation stating that the VIN on car matches out-of-state title (part of govt requirements here).

And I think once the 496 is in her, she really wiil TAKE OFF! biggrin.gif

So, I am putting the world on notice, courtesy of Out Fearless Leader Todd, I have first dibs on TKOFFEH in Florida!

Thanks!

Dave

Can you buy personalized tags before having the car titled? Here in Ontario you can do that and then choose what car you want to put them on. Glad I could help!

O yea that tire and rim combo is so right for your car and love the stance. Always a fan of the high boy style gasser look.

Not yet, I didn't want to roll her all the way out of the garage (parking brake not done yet and still need to bleed brakes) by myself and risk having her roll down the driveway across the street into the ditch no but I will soon.

Thanks,
Dave

Dunno, but this just gives me more incentive to get her on the road so I can get those plates!

Thanks again!

Still laughing,
Dave
