I was at the cottage on the weekend and we headed into town on Sunday night. As we drove past the Canadian Tire my wife said "hey the old cars aren't parked there". Sure enough the parking lot that had been host for years to the Sunday night memory lane cruisers was empty. A bit up the highway we came across a red GTX and a Orange AMX. We followed them to the Walmart on Hwy 12. A small gathering of about 20 or so cars but real nice people. I didn't have my camera so I had to be discriminating as my blackberry only holds six shots. No Canadian Ponchos although I did talk to a guy who had a '64 Custom Sport and a '69 Beaumont Custom 350.
1958 2dr Post Delray - had a 290 HP 350 GM crate engine. Not a Canadian Poncho but at least a very similar style.
1966 Mustang GT 289 400 HP with factory Paxton Supercharger - first one I've seen. Detailer told me owner paid $125,000 at RM Auctions, $160,000 for the Vette beside it 327 and $85,000 for the 68 Mustang beside it. They live on Midland Point, read wealthy.
1967 GTX 440 - I followed this car in, man did it come offthe corners fast, real sweet. Friend had a green 67 Belvedere 2dr htp when were in University, have a soft spot for this style.

Usually it was dealer installed. But mostly Shelby's...
I'm pretty sure they were all dealer installed. If anyone knows different please post what letter code designation they would be given ie: K code, Z code, etc.
There was no specific code for this. Ford's are specific with the engine codes.
As it was dealer installed it could be one of eleven at one specific dealer. Nice car but there would have to be paperwork from the original dealer showing the install.
It was more common(?) on Shelby's. Shelby's had paperwork galore. Could be they tried to get a Shelby but liked this one instead?
