If you live in SW Ontario and are looking for something interesting to do this weekend, Ingersoll is hosting it's annual "Canterbury Folk Festival". Starting tonight and ending Sunday, it's small town partying at it's best! If you like Folk music then surely you have heard of Valdi, Pavlo and Murray McLaughlin. It's the 10th anniversary of the event and it looks to be the best yet. The bands will be playing all weekend (36 acts are scheduled). There's lots of food and vendors selling all sorts of different wares. I'm lucky as the festival is held in the park behind my house. I'm currently sitting on my deck, typing this and listening an excellent lady singer. We'll be around Saturday night and Sunday all day so if you do come to town, pop in and say hi. Parking is at a premium during the event but there's room for 3 or 4 cars in my lane, and heck, even the lawn. Friday night is the Pork BBQ. Saturday morning from 8:30-11 is the "Good Morning Breakfast" that unfortunately I'll miss because I have to work. There's also a licensed beer garden.
