three SD's I don't know

hot off the press-I just heard about three 1968 SD396 beaumonts, one convertible 70,000 miles, two hardtops 20,000 miles, $200,000 for the three-funniest thing is they're right here in Welland and I don't know them-I'll check it out.

I spoke with the owner. Butternut yellow auto 325hp bench seat with column covertible restored 20 yrs ago..........325hp coupe dk green vinyl roof console automatic original car that is mint with 20k miles .........and 20k mile gold 4spd car
with original painted black roof( never saw one like that) Car has l88 427 in it now. I am taking a trip up to see them the first week of August. He says he has loads and loads of n.o.s beaumont parts from 20 yrs of collecting.  he would like to sell all three but I may be able to negotiate a deal on one or two of them . He tells me he doesn't have the canadian paperwork from phs but he has original paperwork on all the cars.  He also doesn't use a computer and doesn't have pictures of the cars.
They are not all in the same place.  I'll keep everybody upto date once I have more info. biggrin   Bill

Sounds like deep pockets will make it happen. A guy with no access to the net, or pictures. You wouldn't take advantage of that would you? Not you!

I expect to be around-call me at home @ (905) 714-1403 theres an answering machine if I'm out-these cars if in Dain City are only five minutes from my place. If its Paul I believe I know him he has always taken interest in my Beaumonts over the years but never mentioned he had one, two or three

Hi guys,
Just got back from Toronto watching my Yankees beat up the BlueJays a couple of times. LOL  ............  Got some strange things to report about the three Beaumonts I got a chance to look at.  All three cars were brought to the same location for me to look at. Let me first say that the owner has tons and tons of rare Beaumont parts all over the place. He was collecting Beaumonts and parts back in the late 70'S.  The owner is a very private guy and asked me not to share any of the pictures of the cars
with any registry and not to post any pictures. As much as i'd love to I have to live up to my word and keep that stuff private. I really am not to sure he wants to sell the three cars at all. I think for private reasons he was forced to advertise the cars and hopes not to sell them. The guy knows his Beaumonts and was very informative as to the originality of the cars. I checked all the numbers and they are  three real cars. One SD convertible one 4spd coupe (painted roof car) and one automatic car. Should he decide to want to sell them these would be three great cars to join the beaumont community. The convertible needs some tlc but is super solid and is missing nothing. The one automatic coupe is a 20k mile car that was super clean and my favorite the gold coupe with painted  roof and 4spd was super clean and original sans the drivetrain. (l88 m22 and 513 gears!) I've shared all I can share while still keeping my promise. We will stay in touch with each other and should anything come from my visit I will let everyone know. BTW........he didn't have a problem selling to an American!!!!!
(just joking)

Bill, I was at the game Tuesday as well, gotta admit Rivera looked a little shakey at the end.aww

Glad you enjoyed your trip to the land of high gas prices!  As to where this gentlemen resides, can you give us a clue as to the general area?  Just curious.

How old is the owner?  Did he buy them new?  Does he ever drive them - hint, did they have current valid licence plates on them?

I met a guy today with a 15000 mile 68 SD and I'm pretty sure he has more. Pretty sure he would take $100000.00. What does L-88 mean? No internet, no Docs, no pictures, no phone, no sale. He just shines a Beaumont symbol in the sky to communicate. Maybe smoke signals? Does this sound familiar? Sound like Mama bear wants some cars to go.

I saw docs on the cars  including original dealer paperwork and protecto plates. As far as how secret it is the guy does have an ad with a phone number in it should anyone really want to get ahold of him. Cars were about an hour from me and I live about a half hour from the peace bridge.

The rare stuff is out there. I just heard about 3 69 Hurst Oldsmobiles located about an hours drive from me. Oh yeah, there's over 900 parts with these Hursts (and I don't mean grommets, I mean 3 sets of NOS fenders, bucket seats etc!). There is already potential buyer - it's an estate sale.

I love hearing about this stuff!
