Hmmm, I thought with the flat back paint it was someone who was a real car guy with some talent for tin work (every race car needs good tin work) so I am sorry to hear that it is one of those Chip Foosball overpriced things, just not with paint yet.
I guess the fancy injector cover should have tipped me off.

He is a real car guy, but he definately puts alot into them..... He also was in on the Black and the Blue Beaumonts in the pics. They work out of a shop here in Calgary, they also built a 67 Camaro rag, and have a 68 Camaro HT and 70 Chevelle in the works... Hes more of a perfectionist I guess, but I agree, flat black is the way to go...LOL

The owner is a true car guy, through and through. It is flat black because he was looking to apply "rat rod" style to a muscle car.
I think he pulled it off perfectly.
OK, I am glad to hear that, this matches my first impression (and when I am finally done with mine hopefully I will have a few surprises of custom touches like his FI cover and that glorious tinwork over the rad support - not to give away too much now but one will be sequential button-LED turn signals built into the "eyebrows" above the headlights) and he did pull off the correct satin black rat rod on a quintessential muscle car beautifully.
I guess I am guilty of knee-jerk reaction to CF type cars.
