Yup.

I did a bunch of emailing with him last year when it was advertised. As much as I want that car (it is exactly what I had except for outside colour) I can not spend 25 on a car right now. If that car was in the mid teens I would be heading west to look at it but I doubt that will ever happen.  This is likely my one chance to replace the one I sold in the late 80's. I am guessing there is not likely more than 20 left with this powertrain, if they even made that many  to begin with.

I guess I will just continue to be sadcry

Well Carl you could always re-mortgage the ranch! But then again is it really worth it? Nawww...
Nice car, but overpriced in the current market.

Sorry, ranch is already remortgaged to buy the cottage last year!

It is likely overpriced in this market, you are correct. If money was no object for me it would be no big deal, but I'm not in that snack bracket.

I am betting under a hundred.

Built 4 days after the 4 speed 66 Grande Parisienne I used to own.

I agree Carl, GP's were not really muscle cars.  I only know of one other 4 speed GP that we parted out in the mid seventies (Idiots!)

Man that thing is nice.  Tell you what. you buy it and then I'll trade you for mine staight across.

Pure, total torture. How would I decide between a 396 4 speed or a 396 factory air car?????

Well actually its pretty easy.  This one you can drive so probably a much better deal if you have the dough, which I don't either.

I can't answer your "how many" question but they certainly are a rarity.

I don't even know why I keep up with the self abuse (me reading this thread)! Talk about a carrot on a stick.........

One thing I can't figure out is the emblems on the front fenders. He has put the V8 logo in front of the wheel (it should not have any V8 emblem on it at all) and put the Grande Parisienne script down behind the front wheel when it should be higher up at the front of the fender.

Not sure if it's a choice he made because he wanted V8 emblems or maybe he just didn't know. Now that I think about it I am wondering if he told me it had a front hit. If so, maybe he used non-GP fenders and liked the V8 emblem that they used.

That reminds me, I have the tag out of the seat for my 4 speed Grande Parisienne. I will have to get the info and add it to the registry.
