Wow, I like that. Still my favourite convertible colour.

Beauty! I especially like the stance - reminds me of my 66 SS396

Very nice!  May I ask what size rims and tires (including back space)?  Also wondering what you used to cover the removed radio (as I'm needing to do something.)

Again, very very nice!

We all know I have a soft spot for red SD beaumont convertibles. I would drive it!

Dunno about the Beaumont, but on my Chevelle (same chassis and basically same body) I used 8" Corvette wheels, same from 1969 to at least 1974 (maybe longer), back then they were easy to find and cheap since the Vette guys often upgraded to some kind of mag (aluminum) wheels. They filled the wheel wells nicely, front and rear. I do not know backspace but they were standard Vette wheels. I did have to trim the rear fender lips a little to fit the fat tires, but did not have to cut into the chrome trim around the wheel opening.

Looks like could be the same on the arrest-me red Beaumont.

Memory tells me my tires were G70-15 front  (F70 might have been a better choice) and L60-15 rear, nice and fat on the back smile.gif

Thanks for the compliments.

tire question,  I ended up with 275 15 60 and 235 15 60 8" rims in back and 7" in front. I just posted a few pictures in members rides.
I think it might be better if the front tires were 1 size larger. the rear tires are large and I have new springs and need air shocks to add about 1 more inch of lift.

radio cover is a radio delete plate, will be replaced with a radio soon.

Yes, I will send the car info for the registry when I get a chance, I have the build sheet for the car. It left the factory regal red, white top, black interior and a 327, heading for Mcbride BC.

Oh dear let me see if I can convert to back in the 70's before all that metric crap:

275 15 60 = 28.0 inches overall diameter, 10.8 inches wide

L 60 15 = 27.86 inches overall diameter, 10.5 inches wide

pretty close eh? Nice and fat on the back like it should be smile.gif

235 15 60 = 26.1 inches overall diameter, 9.3 inches wide

G 70 15 = 27.46 inches overall diameter, 8.6 inches wide

so the arrest-me red Beaumont could use a little taller front tire and my old Chevelle could have used a little shorter front tire ... as we have both said ...
