HELP...Just bought a 70 Acadian 71427 problem is the W/Ssn is 713270w257900 and the under hood tag is 71427wrn211470 the cowl seems to be copper at one time yet the tag sure looks like its never been changed. Where are there other sn numbers? Any help! hatrick62
be more specific as to which tag you're talking about, the VIN tag or the Cowl tag. both can be broken down, but the VIN tag only basically tells you the body style, possibly where it was made, and the sequential. The Cowl tag tells you the body number (which doesn't really have anything to do with anything), exterior color, trim color and some options.
1 cool thing i have seen is all the Acadian SS's ive seen have a A 2 or A 3 at the bottom of the tag?
the deluxe (732) black original interior. Could this be the "A" on the last line if the trim tag "A3" with the 3 being the lower exteror mouldings?
Yes the "A" is Black, because "B" is used for Blue. The 3 is the amount of exterior trim options on the car, you must have bright window trim and possibly 2 lower moulds or the door guard too.
