I commented on it in another thread Carl, but i'll say it again, those black rims with dog dishes look spot on with your car!

I think the Chevy (Wheel Vintiques repro) Ralley's but in 17" (as on this '66) would be cool...

Mine are 15X7 but what I really want to try is a set of radials on different rims. I love the looks of my tire/wheel combo but I still get a vibration over 55mph. I had a road force balance performed but I still get it. A couple of my rims from Coker aren't 100% straight either..

I've heard from other people that those wheels aren't always the best.

I have on another thread rims for sale if you decide to try radials after liking Carl's-I bought tire paint on e-bay to paint redlines-I did this on my 67 SD back in the 1990's

I'm liking the black/dog look. We did a lot of that for the winter back in the 70's and it improved the look of a lot of cars.

wink   I do respect the affection, some of our friends, have for the plain rim look.. I had 10 Corvettes, and always loved the rally wheels.. I have photos of my car (with plain rims) now, and 4 new tires and Caprice rims sitting in a pile for the next owner  lol    Thanks for your support C2

I posted  pictures of Chief with 15x 8,s 15 x7's and 15x7 BW with caps..   Most guys liked the look..      Anyway, today I took off plain rims, and bolted on American Racing chrome wheels with P215/70R-15 Pirelli 400 tires            The chrome wheels look good        C2

Carl, the Chief would have been equipped from the factory with 26" wheels, whereas you still have 27" wheels on there with the 215/70-15s.  If you had the correct sized wheels on there, the car would really go nuts and you wouldn't be complaining about the 4 speed.wink

You  are correct ! wink    I will leave the 215's on, with whatever wheels, I finally decide on...  I can't take much more speed..no After they take car, and put me in jail, there no need for speed...biggrin
