That's nasty. How a pole can jump out infront of a Judge like that.

Surprized the pole didn't snap!!! I broke off a fire hydrant with my '70 Parisienne the first winter I had it..... And NO, no water works... The hydrant was turned off.  I wasn't a happy camper!!!

don't mess with a telephone pole, it'll win every time.  (except the times when "Spirit of America" hit one at 400+ mph and shattered it)

I witnessed a friend of mine nail a pole in his 71 Cutlass Supreme. It was about 1987 and I rolled up to a stop sign at the end of my street heading westbound in my 71 Skylark and we was going by me heading southbound. He did a fake smart ass swerve towards me and lost control and he nailed the pole dead center. I damn near sh*t myself! He didn't have his seatbelt on and his forehead hit the windshield header. Only had a minor cut. The tow truck just about had the car gone when a cop showed up....

I recall being out at the street races-a friend does a u turn when another is coming about 70 MPH-that 66 chevelle jumped off the ground landing in the ditch upside down-I was standing right there-just finished talking to him

I hope the guy is OK and that Judge was a clone, somebody had a similar accident around here last year with his 1971 Lemans, he put nitrous on a country road and hit a minivan, broke both his legs and sent everybody to the hospital, no driving for him in a long time, there is racetracks for speeding.

With my line of work i show up at those types of scenes. You understand the power of a few beers and fast cars. I have had to cut through a few muscle cars to get some guys out and it sucks seeing pristine cars destroyed.

The driver died at hospital. That's what they're saying on other boards

Sad on both counts, but especially for the driver if true.

Reading page 4 of this post, a person claiming to be the driver's cousin reports that he was not killed but seriously injured. The person went on to have their say of all the snide remarks
made on the posting. Having been in two serious accidents thanks to other driver's errors, it just made me cringe looking at that car! Lucky to be alive that fella.
