Airlift 1000 airbag question.

Hello CP'ers,

Anybody ever install a set of the Airlift airbags on their car or truck?

I plan on installing a set in my minivan since I'm tired of people flashing their lights
at me at night thinking I've got my high beams on, when I'm carrying even a small load. I've beat the springs up pretty good towing things for a few years, and I think even a new set of springs would just bag out again anyway.

The bags installation PDF says they can be installed using one fill valve between the two, or a separate one for each. In my mind, I'd think with the single fill system, having both bags tied together would only cause air to be pumped from the compressed bag over to the unloaded one during loaded cornering, increasing body roll. Having both separate would eliminate this.

One valve would be nice, easier to fill.

Am I splitting hairs here? Will it really make any difference?

Cheers, Mark.

Mark, I'd go with dual fill valves, better for evening thing out side to side. Plus it's not like you have to adjust them constantly.

I put bags in my 1/2 ton truck 10 years ago. I can fill either side. The best money I spent for hauling a camper or towing cars.
