Very interesting car...i wonder if he has any documentation to support the dealer swap to a 427... looks like Conroy liked them in green!

Also note the owner of that car owns another 67 Cheetah, which is a 427 column shift automatic car, in complete but rough condition... also the thread speculates that 20 were made in '67...

Lucky for Conroy they were able to find those emblems in the parts book. They're rare enough that few would have recognized them in the late 1960's. wink

I wondered that too and who knows which or if both are correct as aren't they the same placement as in the pics of other Cheetah pics we've seen?.
Also I didn't mention it in my postings on the Yenko thread but the Cheetah emblems fonts/letter placement appear slightly different than the originals on the Sask. car?.

I doubt they had any rhyme or reason on where they placed the emblems... unless they did something different for 427 vs. 396 cars... It seems like they would just drill where ever... I also wonder if the SK car has any history/evidence of any black paint around the rear letters... something they would have done at conroy with a spray bomb... perhaps an earlier 67 had the cheetah emblem where the 66's did and later they just replaced the V8 emblem (which kinda looks funny as its too close to the beaumont emblem on the f.fender)

the valve cover decals are really cool too!!

the rear of the car where the individual beaumont letters are (inside the area of the racetrack shaped trim) was painted black on that car, it is normally body colour...

I just checked the Sask. car and this one has no paint around the rear letters, it is the color of the car. This does not mean it never was black because the car was in a roll over and was completely repainted in its early years. I will check with the owner and find out if he might remember or have a picture of the rear of the car when it was new.smile
