Catalog of Canadian Car ID Numbers

I see an ad for the above titled book. ( $46.99US + $14.99US shipping )
Might someone on here have a copy and be willing to comment on its usefullness?
It appears to be very similar to Catalog of American car ID numbers 1960-69. Is it?
Years covered?
Thanks in advance, Ted

I have it and have found it useful. It has 856 pages. There is a fair bit of Canadian Pontiac info. The information provided by the book is as follows:

For example, lets look up 1969 Laurentian 2 door. I'm told it was model # 75637, sold new for a base price of $3348 and was rated at 3705lbs. The serial number began at 756391100001
Some early paint codes are also listed. I wish there was a a little more info as far as paint and body tag codes go. Option lists would also be nice. If you are interested in all cars sold in Canada, then it's worth having. If not, you could simply ask someone who has it (like me) for information as needed.

When does it start with its coverage? If you can ever get them, the SANFORD-EVANS STATISTICAL SERVICE booklets ran back to the beginning of the war at least, and covered in two versions cars and trucks. My last car book covers up to 1958. In addition BRANHAM'S copies can sometimes be found that cover Canadian vehicles back to about 1919...the rare 1942 edition that I have covers US and Canadian vehicles, cars and trucks, back to 1938 at least. It seems that Canadian data was often to be found in the quarterly? update books, presumably as the data was late being released.

In addition there were data handbooks released each year published out of Oakville, Ontario that covered cars from 1928 to 1941 at least. I think that they may have been printed by Fords but do not have any indication. I have 1937 and 1939 issues and Ford of Canada's historical department used to have later editions. You might like to know that I bought my set of Canadian books from the author of CARS OF CANADA!
